Clazicstandard Ltd is a multi dimensional association. It was formulated out of a burning desire to liberate our teaming members and the general public from poverty, particularly where lack of access to finance, education and financial training creates barriers to economic progress.
Many people had to travel long distances to access financial services or any form of financial assistance. Many businesses could not survive because of lack of capital to finance their operations. In our societal situation, raising equity contributions to finance businesses can be extremely difficult due to lack of available funds.
Many people therefore resorted to farming as a means of survival. Clazicstandard recognised the need for a stronger self-help structure through which members could mobilise resources and support productive business activities.
Management therefore came together as a self-help initiative and formed Clazicstandard Multipurpose Cooperative Society, registered as RC No. 19737 with the Bureau of Cooperative Development under the Government of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
The cooperative structure enables Clazicstandard to mobilise funds through membership registration fees, voluntary contributions, membership daily savings, weekly savings and monthly savings. These resources support the business activities of members through a soft-loan window at a low interest rate.
The foundation and financial structure that supported the development of Clazicstandard.
Clazicstandard Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd started in 2009 and was registered in 2015 to have access to government grant opportunities, although government grant became impossible. Due to this, Clazicstandard ultimately resorted to funding its members through members' contributions and return on investments.
Clazicstandard generated its funding from equity contribution, individual financing, charges from services rendered, commissions on loans, consultancy fees and membership registration fees.
